Live Medical Abortion
For those of you just catching onto my posts, I am posting live about my medical abortion!
I am doing this for several reasons:
- First and foremost, for me! I have no one to speak with about the battle of terminating a pregnancy. I am using my blog as an outlet to talk about my pain, emotions, and troubles during this time. For those of you who have caught on, yes, this blog is typically about my ED.
- To help women who are currently trying to decide whether or not they would like to continue their pregnancy, or are currently experiencing the trauma of an abortion.
- To reach out to the WORLD and help those who are siding between pro-choice & pro-life. Not saying one is right over the other, but I’d like the outsider to have some perspective on what it’s like.
“A medical abortion is one that is brought about by taking medications that will end a pregnancy. The alternative is surgical abortion, which ends a pregnancy by emptying the uterus (or womb) with special instruments. Either of two medications, mifepristone or methotrexate, can be used for medical abortion. Each of these medications is taken together with another medication, misoprostol, to induce an abortion.”
