Ohioans Plan Rally as Budget Heads to Kasich's Desk With More Anti-Choice Amendments
Activists are planning a rally Thursday to tell Ohio Gov. John Kasich to veto anti-abortion amendments to the budget bill, of all places. Here is the Facebook event for more details.
The amendments include:
- Forcing all pregnant people to undergo an ultrasound prior to an abortion in order to detect a heartbeat
- Putting Planned Parenthood and other family planning clinics last in line when distributing family planning funding
- Funding crisis pregnancy centers with taxpayer dollars
- Making it more difficult for clinics to obtain and maintain state-mandated transfer agreements - this would shut down the clinics in Toledo, if not in more cities
If you are in Ohio, please join activists in Columbus tomorrow to tell Gov. Kasich to veto these amendments!
