That’s probably because the procedure they looked at, suction aspiration, involves a embryo/fetus whose bones have not yet calcified, and whose skull is small enough that it doesn’t need to be crushed before removal. That only occurs in late-term abortions, or sometimes in second-trimester abortions, such as dilation and evacuation.
Do these people understand fetal development and abortions at all, or do they just assume there’s a teeny tiny fully-formed baby in there from the moment of fertilization, and all abortions involve some quack butcher just going in there and haphazardly ripping shit apart?
I mean, really now. Enough with the histrionics. It’s very difficult to take you guys seriously sometimes.
ETA: Oh, and also because getting an abortion can be really fucking scary, especially if someone’s grown up around people like you, and it’s kind of nice to know what’s going to happen to you when you get in there.
